Video can be used to compliment exhibition or museum displays, in this case by using a short documentary style programming to reinforce static displays.
The ten minute video shown here was produced as a video kiosk for the Northern Rivers Historical Society Museum in Lismore. It is played through a large flat screen TV in the main exhibition room and surrounded by Lismore shipping antiquities and memorabilia.
The motivating aim was to create a better public awareness of the significance shipping had on the development of Lismore as a regional city.
The video serves as a summary of local history and gives context to the many static displays.
Live action sequences are shot on full 1080p HD and the black and white photos drawn from the archives of the historical society.
This production was part of media studies at SCU Uni for a Bachelor of Media degree.
Just another innovative way Artery Media Design can bring your product or event to life using video.
